Never In The Dark

Reflecting today on one of my previous posts:

READING: Isaiah 60:20

A life lived without the Lord is like wandering through an endless tunnel… dark, dreary and depressing. It is no life at all! It is merely taking breaths, moving from one place or another, without purpose and without direction: an aimless pursuit!

Many of us have taken countless months, or perhaps years in search of that light at the end of the tunnel. We grope in fear, in silence, and dread for the unknown and the unseen things of the world, only to end up back to where we started, back in the pit and void of a meaningless life.

A sailor lost at sea finds his way back home with a distant light shining from a lighthouse. A lost soul finds refuge in the guiding light, the hope and inspiration of the one true Light.

The truth that many of us have failed to realize or accept is that there is only ONE LIGHT, and that is the Lord! We only need to let Him into our lives, let Him take us by the hand and lead us out of that tunnel.

The Bible says that the “Lord is our everlasting light”. His light has no end. With Him leading us, we will never have to be in the dark again! We never have to grope in mournful sadness. With God, everything has meaning, direction and purpose! Now, isn’t that a life worth living?

I pray that you will find that light at the end of the tunnel and that the hope of the Beacon of salvation will lead you back home. Ask Jesus into your life and be in the dark no more. Step into God’s everlasting light!
