I find time each day when I can spend even a few minutes reading God's word.
Though it is great to start the day this way, waking up a few minutes earlier than normal to purposefully spend the first minutes of the day in prayer and devotion, I prefer spending my quiet time in the evenings as a last thing before going to sleep, when my household is at rest, and the quiet helps clear my heart and mind.
Whatever that time each day is for you, we should not rest our heads on a pillow at night if we have not had our nose in the Book during the day!
Find a place where you can be quiet as you listen to what God has to say in His word.
Seek for a "serenity spot" where you can get away from the sounds of active children in the house, the TV blaring, the phone ringing, or from any distractions that will keep you from hearing God.
Quietness is a rare and precious ingredient for a meaningful devotion, but it is also very hard to achieve in this world. Whether it is a prayer corner in the house, a favorite chair, or in your car while driving to work, we should carve out a quiet place where we should meet God and expect to hear from Him.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
